YES!!!! You can do that! It is a very reasonable goal. If you want a buddy to help you do it...you've got a "stick with you to the end" friend!!
I can help keep you motivated...I'm pretty good at this! ? kelly

yea you could do it but hard training has to be invovled, like walking instead of going by car and going up the stairs instead of going by lift, your BMI (body mass index) shows that you are obese , help your heart by losing the weight, its all worth it

yes i think u can if u stick to it religiously
good luck honey!

Yes, as long as you stick to it, push yourself in the excersizes, and don't slack off any.

for number 1 thats good stick to it, number 2 maybe try working out for a little over an hour then when you feel you can go longer do it!, number 3 is good too, i fully beleive that you will fulfill ur new years resolution! Good Luck!

As long as you stick to it. Make sure 1500 calories is enough to get through the day... the more exercise you do, the more calories you need to intake. You do not want to drain yourself. Also, make sure you mix up your workouts to give your body a change... this will help you from hitting a point where what you do no longer works. It is not to healthy to lose more than 2lbs a week. Make sure you eat lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains, dairy and lean protein.

sounds good, I dont know how many calories you need to maintain your weight, but you should eat about 300-400 calories less than what you need to maintain your weight to lose fat.

Yes... I believe you have the desire to reach your goal. You can also go on youtube and there you'll find 10 minute videos of pilates and Taebo..

Make sure you lose 2 lbs a week so your body can tone itself as well. Eat 5 fruits a day before you eat a meal and drink a cup of water before each meal as well.

Yes, absolutely. If you stick 110% to you you're plan, you definately. I would advise you get a trainer from a club (I suggest Body Renew) There is a 34 dollar start up fee, and then 27 dollars a month. You would have to pay for the trainer, but it would be worth it.

Anytime you see something that could involve excersize...for example: If you work in an office building, and you're on a fifth floor, decide that once a day you will run up all five flights.
(My dad's friend has done that forever, he works on the 24th floor)
Same with shopping, instead of using the elevator, take the stairs.

Ask a couple friends if they would like to join a club with you. Curves is a club just for woman.

Besides on that, going on runs, running up and down you're stairs, lunges, and anything yo ucan think of.

Dont worry, you will reach you're goal in ten months

Not only reasonable, but very....CONSERVATIVE.

1500 calories is a lot. I am a 5'8" man, 35 years old, and my diet is 1200 calories per day with strength training 5 days a week and stretching at LEAST 5 days per week.

Here are a few problems I see with your thoughts, though.

#1. It's a New Year's Resolution. Those are very simply made to be broken. Period, end of statement.
#2. You call it an exercise plan. You are talking about a workout. Working out is bad.
#3. You have one goal, and it's a long way off. You cannot succeed until you lose 72 pounds, meaning you will most likely fail.

Here's how to fix those 3 things.

#1. Everyone can be heathy, and should be healthy. It has nothing to do with the month. It should have nothing to do with a "New Year's Resolution", it should have EVERYTHING to do with deciding to become healthy. It's that plain and simple. If you give it a name, you own it, and can do with it what you will, including ignore it, because you own it. If you change your mind, you don't own it. It's how you think now. There is a subtle difference in that.

#2. No one should "work out". When you are doing your exercises, you are attempting to gain a skill set. For example, I am strength training with kettlebells. I am attempting to gain a strength and cardiovascular skill set. It's not a workout, though.
It's training.
Always, always, always, look at your program as training. "Working out" is simply mindless activity. Set goals. Many goals, goals that have maybe 5 sub-goals in each goal. That leads to #3.

#3. A set of goals. You have one goal. Lose 72 pounds. What if you only lost 65? You are a failure. That's a bad, bad thing.
You need multiple goals. What if you made a list of 50 goals that you have fitness wise? Catagorize them. "Weight loss. #1, lose 5 pounds. #2, lose 10 pounds. #3, lose 15 pounds." Etc. You cross those off as you get there. It shows you where you have been, and where you are going. Shoot, maybe even #1 on that list should be "lose one pound." I define losing weight as the scale reads that number or less for 3 days in a row. If you get the scale to say a number, or less, 3 days in a row, you own it.
Get a scale, one that you can store numbers in. I got mine about 3 weeks ago, after I had begun my training. So, it missed my high number. However, here's my starting numbers.

182.2 pounds, 21.7% body fat

My most recent numbers.

175.4 pounds, 19.6% body fat

I want to get down to 160 pounds. So, I have failed, right?
Wrong!!

I haven't failed because I have a set of goals. I beat 3 of them, lost my first pound, lost 5 pounds, and lost 10 pounds. Like I said, I got a new scale that never recorded my 185+ weight, so the beginning number is skewed slightly. And yes, I round down and the scale has said as low as 174, so I own the 10 pound loss.

You can do it. Lose that first pound, then that first 5, then that first 10. Go, go, go!!!

coolness!! me too!!! I want to loose 20-30 lbs. I am doing cardio, but I haven't counted my calories. I need to do that!!! Hey you wanna do this together?? We talk to see what progress were making. At the end of the year we see who lost the most??? E-mail me!
