How can i get a flat nice stomach before summer?!


Question: Is that even possible? I'm 140 pounds and 5'6.

I would out 3-4 times a week at the gym doing carido, what else should i do?

Well, a lot of it has to do with cardio. You said you already have a cardio routine. Just make sure you are getting in 45 mins. of hard cardio.

Other than cardio, a flat stomach has to do with eating habits. Try to get more fiber into your diet and eat more fruit and veggies. Stay away from soda (regular and diet!) and drink mainly water.

Lastly, an ab workout. If you are already going to the gym, look for some of the machines that concentrate on your abs. Try to do 3 sets of 20 crunches and the same with reverse crunches ( legs straight at a 90 degree angle, lift butt and hips off the floor focusing on your lower abs). You can look up some more ab workouts on shape.com.

You'll have to modify your diet, if fat deposits around the stomach are an issue. Also, you'll need to tone the ab muscles, which, yes, does require doing ab work! But the cardio is a GREAT start! And yes, it IS possible.

You are probably doing enough cardio. There are a lot of ab routines you can do. I vary my ab exercises each time. But you need to do one exercise for upper abs, one for lower abs, and one for obliques. do two or three sets of 10-12 reps. Do this 3 or 4 times a week.
Diet is a huge factor- cut back on fat and sodium and it will make a big difference. Eat a good breakfast. That is really important.
