Is it normal for a 14 year old to have 215 a cholesterol level?!
Question: i have 215.
i'm 14 and my chlosterol came out higher than my dad's. I eat super haelthy...I don't eat junk, never use oil in my food, i don't even eat chips.
But the morning i took the blood exam, i ate breakfast, does that make a difference??

If you are to take a cholesterol test your stomach has to be empty for at least 12 hours prior to the test. That is why they tell you not to eat anything after 10.00 p.m.

Yes it is suppose to be a fasting test. To get accurate results, you should not eat or drink anything for 9 to 12 hours before the test. You may drink water, but other beverages such as coffee, tea, or soda should be avoided. You could have really messed it up and should let your parents and the doctors office know what you did so that you can be re-tested.
