to gain muscle mass yes u hav to gain weight, basacally if u want to gain muscle mass u have to eat alot more food not bad food though, food rich in protein and complex carbs not lots of fatty foods, you will also hav to work out, dont overtrain though 3 times a week is enough. if you overtrain say 5 times a week ur body will not have time to repair the muscles and ur results will sufer, hav a look at this web site it has alot of really good information and gaining muscle mass http://www.gain-weight-muscle-fast.com

No you do not, but in general you will, because muscle weighs more than fat so you weight on the scale will go up as your muscle mass increases.

For me, I just increased what I ate especially things with protein and made sure I went to the gym 5 days a week. It took some time but I went from 130lbs to adding 20lbs of muscle in a year and a half.

Look bro, if you bulk up in muscle tone, you will weigh a bit more. But that's okay. You got a fast metabolism, eat **** loads of decent food. Get the protein shakes, good quality, and lift HEAVY weights like there ain't a tomorrow.

**** gain some weight boy u must look like skin and bones !!!!! sorry but thats just grooooose

You'll put on weight when your caloric intake is bigger than the amount of calories that your body burns (uses)... But when you put on weight there is a difference in how much you work out.. If you don't workout and eat more than your body needs, you'll put on weight, but that weight will be fat (because body will store energy), not muscles. But if you work out (e.g. weight lifting, fitness, whatever...) your body will produce muscles, which will cause your weight to increase (but only in case that you consume more calories that you use, because body uses that extra energy for ''making'' muscles).
Hope that helped:)
