I mix sources of fiber (whole grains, fruits and veggies) and lean sources of protein (lean meat, egg whites, skim milk, tofu, light cheese and yogurt, etc) at every meal. Both protein and fiber help fill you up on less food AND keep you full for hours.

Another good trick: often people mistake thirst and hunger, and end up overeating when all they needed was calorie free water. If you can't tell the difference, drink a large glass of water first.
