I have been doing it for a few years now.

Actually, the tendency to injure yourself is much lower at night! That's because you've been using your muscles all day.
Studies show that people who work out in the morning tend to be better at maintaining a workout regimen. I think that is part of why so many trainers encourage people to work out in the morning. If you've maintained your regimen and can sleep as needed, I think you're good to go!
I'm a night owl myself and prefer to workout at night. : ) I love these new 24-hour gyms!
