How to build muscle?!

Question:

How to build muscle?

Okay, so I've been recently working out at the gym, and I really want to gain weight and build more muscle. I'm 18, 6'6 and weight 195lbs..

What would be the best way for me to get stronger and gain muscle mass??

Right now I'm taking syntha-6, should I be taking any other supplement or just do it all natural?

Thanks.

The first thing to remember is...only you know your body. What works for someone else may not work for you.

With that said, if you wish to put on mass, you must eat! You want to take in about 300-600 more calories a day than your body needs. Spread that out over 5-7 meals a day. A couple pounds a week of gain would be a good goals. Don't go too high, or you'll put on fat. If you aren't seeing any gains after a couple of weeks, up your calories by 300.

But wait...not all calories are created equal. Don't go and make 3 of those meals a snickers bar. You want good, healthy foods. Avoid foods with the words fried or sugar written all over them. And NEVER skip breakfast. Your body has been without food for 8-10 hours. This is the most important meal of the day.

At first, this may be hard, since your body is not used to always having food and you will not be hungry when it is time to eat by your schedule. Give it a few weeks and you will adjust and start to be hungry all the time, making that part easier.

Then, you must hit the gym. Since you are trying to build mass, no high rep sets. You want to do low reps with heavy challenging weights. If you can do more than 8-10 reps of the weight you are using, you are lifting too little. At the end of the set, you should be at a weight that 1-3 is your max reps.

Last but not least, get your rest. If you don't sleep enough, you will never get big. Your muscles build during rest, not in the gym.

As for supplements, remember, they are just for supplementing your diet, not replacing it. You can do it all natural, or you can add things to help. Protein shakes are a great start. There are other items out there that have benefits, but since you are just beginning, I would not worry about them. You will see your best gains in the first 90-120 days. Always look at the label of anything that goes in your body. Those weight gainers sound great, but you know they have 5 times more sugar than a king size candy bar?
