Alright, i been going to the gym at a good pace and since may i been doing weight lifting machines four times a week, with cardio six times. physically i look like i lost weight substantially and getting some cut, however my main goal is too lose weight. On the scale my weight however doesn't match up, it fluctuates between 168-173. i'm 5'6 and i really dont look this heavy, is it possible that muscle can still gain but not show? I do take care of what im eating, its been a huge change and i do 45 mins of decent cardio on the eliptical. so im confused, is my muscles canceling out the weight im losing or do i need to be more aggressive with my diet?

muscle weighs more then fat so you can be losing fat and gaining muscle but not seeing a difference on the scale because of this
