What are some quick, healthy snacks?!


Question: What are some quick, healthy snacks!?
I'm almost always super busy & as soon as I get home, I have about ten minutes to change my clothes & grab a snack before I have to leave again!. What are some healthy snacks that I could eat one-handed while on the run (metaphorically)!? I mean like crackers, except something healthier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get large bags of nuts or dried fruit at Sam's club!. Then I put the serving size for ex!. 1/4 cup 120 cals!.!.!.!. in snack bags!. Snack bags are just like sandswhich bags only smaller!. I reuse them when I can!. So, I have a bunch of these prepared throughout the week and then when gone I just make more!.
You can snack on lots of healthy stuff but if you eat too much of it ( snack bars, drinks etc) you are defeating your purpose!.

I totally understand the busy thing!. Try Kashi bars, they fill me up, curb my cravings, and they aren't messy!. I get a huge box at Sam's Club!. You can also try Slim-Fast bars (or something similar), they work just as well and you can buy them almost anywhere!.

I also like trail mix, raisins (though you might need a wipe b/c they get sticky), Cheerios in a baggie, wheat crackers (like the sour cream and chives ones or Wheat Thins)!.

I have recently discovered Melba Toast made by Old London which is awesome! They're small little crackers (similar to Wheat Thins but healthier)!. You can find melba toast in the Organic section of the grocery store!. They have a lot of different flavors (wheat, garlic, onion, etc!.) and you can stick any kind of topping you want on it!. They are also extremely low-cal and very low-sodium!. They go very well with tuna, cheese, and herbal tea (for the days when you are less busy)!.

Celery and carrots will get caught in your teeth, berries are sticky, and tomatoes will leave stains, so I don't recommend those unless you can haul toothpicks and Tide pens around in your purse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cheese Cubes (low fat or fat free), nuts (almonds especially), pretzels, Peanut M&Ms (only 10), any type of 100 calorie snack packs, apple, banana, or any other fruit!. The sugar in fruit is OKAY to consume anytime!. The fat in nuts is also OKAY (not to excess), these are all good for you and wont hurt you!. Pretzels are good, but the sodium is high so could cause bloating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

unsalted peanuts, almosts, cashews or mixed nuts!.
granola bars, nutrigrain bars, special k bars!.
fresh fruit-apples, bananas, orange wedges, grapes, cherry tomatoes
fresh veggies-carrots, celery
whole wheat crackers
rice cakes
protein shakes

**protein will make you feel full and stay with you longer than carbs will!. it will also give you more energy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Kashi bars!.!.!.I love the peanut butter ones!. Quick and easy!.!.and healthy!.

Apples, clean them and put'em in a fruit bowl so you can grab one on your way out!.

Keep a pack of Craisns in your car glove box!. They're quick and easy to eat anywhere!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

green grapes, cheese curds, and fresh italian bread, together it's a wonderful thing, easy to eat and prepare a sammie bag ahead of time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try some roasted grams,rice flakes ,peanuts ,all these are great healthy snacks hope you like them

Apples , oranges , bannanas !. You can also get fruit bars at shops in all diffrent ranges and flavours , nutrigrain bars are really nice ! x!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Carrot sticks, apples, cheese sticks, nutrigrain bars, any fruits!. Take some time (when you can) and make abunch of this stuff up all at once so you can grab on the run!Www@Answer-Health@Com
