How can I stop the evening munchies?!

Question: How can I stop the evening munchies!?
This is the main thing that gets in the way of my weigh loss goals!. I work out, I eat healthy breakfast and lunch!. Sometimes I end up eating my dinner late, but I want to try to avoid eating after 7:30 pm at all!. How can I stop myself from snacking in the evening!? Eating just a little bit doesn't work, cause I come back for more and I just can't help it!. But if my stomach rumbles I can't sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A small snack in the evening will keep your tummy from rumbling!. The key for you, is that you need to monitor the amount you eat!. So in advance of your snack, you need to identify:

1!. What you will eat
2!. How much of it you will eat
3!. When you will eat it!.

If you don't meet all 3 items, you shouldn't eat!. I recommend eating a snack rather near bedtime, so you will feel content as you sleep!. Whatever you eat, restrict yourself to a 100-150 calorie portion, and put the portion in a bowl!. When that is gone, you don't eat anymore!.

A suggested thing you might eat is cereal!. A smallish bowl of cereal and lowfat milk would be about 150 calories, and portion control is easy to manage!.

The final issue here, you need to understand, is your own maturity and willpower!. You simply have to refuse to eat any more than what is reasonable!. Quit making excuses, and start being very aware of what you eat, how much, and when!. Don't allow yourself to have habits that hold you from your goals!. Find something else to do so you won't think about food!.

Being hungry isnt the worst thing in the world either!. It certainly won't hurt you!. I suspect you are reacting with some sort of irrational fear or panic when you feel hungry/your stomach rumbles!. Tell your stomach "too bad, I'm on a diet!. be quiet!." Then ignore it!. And keep ignoring it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Fruits and vegetables and most important PLENTY of water!.
A balanced diet would help you!.
It really depends on what you eat when you got the "evening munchies" if you have to just eat fruits!.
people who sleep less than 5 hours have a tendency of eating more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yep veggies and a cold pitcher of water!. If you start eating carbs (the bad ones, high GI) you'll start cycling!. Just ask yourself if you're actually hungry, cause if you were starving, you'd gobble up those carrot sticks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try to make sure you are eating a good amount of calories during the day, and just try to stay away from the kitchen!. Drink plenty of water as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Keep a large platter of fresh raw veggies in the fridge!. Munch all you want!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

quit smoking the pot!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

have you tried chewing gum!? it helps suppress your appetite, and the chewing and taste help to distract you and give the illusion that you're eating!.

how about something you can "eat," like a drink!? maybe some green tea!? if you have a blender, you can fill your stomach with, say, a tasty slushie drink -- mostly ice (which helps you to get as much water as possible!) with a bit of flavoring (like some low-cal juice or a bit of fruit, or a tiny bit of frozen yogurt)!.

do you keep yourself busy in the evenings!? try your best to really distract yourself and focus on something!. read a book, balance your checkbook, do your homework or brain-challenging work if you're out of school, take up a hobby like drawing or crafting, exercise, go out, do errands then, do household chores, prepare a healthy and tasty dish for the next day that you wouldn't have time to make ordinarily, anything! just keep your mind off of food!. for me, the best way to do it is to either cook (and load the cookies off on my family) or use the computer!. i can go an eternity surfing the 'net without thinking of food!. !.
