you'd have to drink gallons of water continuously to get sick, and yes, people have died from it!. (there was a radio contest in which a woman drank so much her stomach looked like she was pregnant and she died later that same day!. and the contest was just for a couple of concert tickets!. sad way to die!. ) i'm assuming you're not planning to drink that much!.
a glass of water before a meal will help fill you up so you don't overeat!. that could help but for losing weight, nothing beats eating small healthy meals 5x a day to boost your metabolism, as well as regular exercise!.

yes, you can drink too much water and it will make you throw up!. however, you will become physically ill before this happens; you would literally have to force yourself to continue drinking!. (this was/is a popular hazing tactic often employed by fraternities and the military) i mean really force yourself!.

You won't lose weight!. You will throw up and get sick!. You can also die from drinking too much water!. It will mess up your body's stoichiometry (balance) and kill your liver and kidney function!.
It also doesn't make you less hungry - that's a popular illusion!.

Drinking too much water at one time places tremendous stress on the stomach and causes temporary distress, and can even injure the stomach if you lift something too heavy while in this condition!. You can get sick if the water is of a poor quality, such as hard water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Drinking water too fast could (and probably will) make you throw up!. There's a reason you're supposed to sip water when you're too hot, overworked, sick, etc!.

OMG dear one!! All the hype you've listened to I can't believe you haven't sorted through it all mostly by trial & error on your own! Your system cannot handle that much water! Your kidneys will try to handle the influx first, by going ALOT! Then if you overwhelm them you will sweat for no reason, your body will begin expelling the excess water in other ways!.!.
