Working out?

I was reading that Chris Evans (of Fantastic Four) started working out because he had to take off his shirt in a movie. At the time he was 140 pounds and after working out he has a body like this:

I was just wondering how long after hitting the gym it takes for an 18 year old who weighs around 140 pounds to get a body like that?


Answers:

Depends on how serious you are about it. Ultimately, it is usually only possible to gain about .5-1lb of muscle per week if you are doing EVERYTHING right.

A lot of times with these Hollywood stars, they actually do a lot of fat loss on top of putting on SOME muscle. So even though it may appear as though someone added 20 lbs of muscle, he probably only added 10 lbs and got super cut. And without the help of a personal trainer, it can hard to do both well at the same time. So usually it is recommend you just focus on bulking first, then when you reach your target goal, start a cutting program. I would recommend getting your body fat tested as well so you know exactly how much lean mass you added. And how do you gain mass? Eat like a motherfu#&er. I bought a book called "Scrawny to Brawny." That book finally put me on the right track. I started at 145 and have bulked to 165, planning on going to 180ish before I lean out.
