Question:

Please tell me whether this plan can help me gain muscle?

I am currently still a student... I want to gain weight and muscle.

My simple plan to get muscle :

morning : eat cereals
at evening, spend 20-30 mins on push ups, sit ups and dumbells
night : drinka cup of protein shake ( weight gain)

in the weekend, play badminton or swimming.

can swimming help gain muscle?

Can this plan help me gain muscle?

Answers:

No.

A gain weight protein shake is not meant to be taken as a meal replacement. It is meant to be taken in addition to regular meals. In order to gain more muscle you need to balance out your meals across the day and have a good workout routine in place.

It has been suggested, (and it does seem to work) that you should eat 5 - 6 small meals per day. In order to gain muscle with that of course, you need a regular workout routine going on, occasionally taking a week or 2 off.

Your workouts should be done every other day at the most, but that also depends on how intensive they are. In order to pack on the muscle you're going to need to be taking your repetitions to failure and beyond at each workout, plus resting at least 2 - 3 days in between. That goes for your push ups and sit ups also, though I would suggest crunches rather than sit ups.

Take a week or 2 off now and then and the muscle should start showing up within a couple of months, though don't expect to explode. Eventually growth will slow but that is normal because otherwise there would be a bunch of inhuman looking blobs walking around.

Without going into a great detail, that's it in a nutshell.
