I'm starving myself to lose weight?!


Question: I'm starving myself to lose weight!?
I'm 14, a bit overweight and eager to lose it!. First off, I am not crazy!. I don't want anyone telling me that starving is unhealthy and will result in death, I know that!. Also, I don't want anyone telling me that I will regain the weight afterwards!. I know of people who have been through this path and have not gained weight eversince!. I don't want your opinions, just advice if you are doing the same thing (I know there are other people like me out there)!. Everytime I starve, I lose 2 lbs per day!. I plan on doing this for most or the whole summer!. Thanks in advance!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't have an eating disorder but I know many girls who have!. I understand that you feel you want to lose weight!. BUt first off, you said you're "a bit overweight," which means you're definitely not obese!. You can easily lose the weight in other ways--starving yourself is NOT the answer!.
If you starve yourself, you'll lose self-confidence!. You'll feel like ****, you've betrayed your body and the results from starving oneself are never attractive!.
What I would reccomend you do is motivate yourself, believe you can do it, and take it into your own hands to lost the extra weight in a healthy manner!. A positive attitude will help you the most!.
Once you convince yourself that you're going to lost the weight the right way, start eating better--cut out junk food!. Eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, and get some protein!. And definitely drink lots of water! Drinking water might feel like you're putting on unnecessary pounds, but it cleanses your system and you'll pee or sweat it right out!
Go to the gym or work out!. If you have a gym accessible to you, go on an elyptical and do the weightloss program!. You'll feel good about yourself--just stay motivated! Remind yourself why you're doing this!.
If you can't get to a gym, go for runs!. Running is a great way to lose weight, but you NEED to eat healthy if you want to get results from running!.

First off, I don't care if you don't want anyone telling you it's unhealthy!. IT IS!.
And you will obviously gain weight afterward!. If you go all summer starving and hardly eating, when the summer ends, then what!? You start eating again!? And you think the weight is just going to stay off!? Sorry, doesn't work that way!.
What you are doing is extremely damaging and unhealthy!. Anorexia is an awful disease, and you think you may stop starving yourself at the end of the summer, but you won't!. You'll get so addicted and you'll lose yourself in the weight loss!. And you won't want to stop!.
When that happens your period will stop!. You will have no energy for anything, and people around will start asking questions!. Most likely you will be put into a hospital and have nutrients forced into your body!. Worst case senario, you'll die!.

Well, I'm going to tell you that it's unhealthy anyways, because it is, and you should not do it!. You are 14, and you need to be worrying about things other than weight!.!.!.!. life is much more than that!. If you are overweight and want to lose a little bit of weight, you need to eat balanced and healthy meals and you need to reach your calorie needs for a kid your age!. You need to exercise, and eat a balance of whole grains, fats, and fruits and veggies!. 2 pounds a day is so unhealthy!.!.!. 2 pounds a week is the healthy weight loss!. When you eat bellow 1000cals a day your BMR (Basal (sp) Metabolic Rate) will slow down, therefore it would make sooo much more sence just to eat a bit and let your body do all the work for you, then it is to go hungry all day!. Also when you say starving, do you literally mean you're not eating a thing!? Because if that's so you may not survive for too long, i think you can survive 3months without food, but as your like 14 it might be less (Just somthing to consider)!.

well what people have told you are true and it is stupid whether you care what i think or not

i had a bad dose a while back and i couldnt eat for a few days i lost like 10lbs but its just water weight and yes you do regain it as you start eating again
and not surprising when i started eating again all those 10lbs came back again

if you eager to lose it and want to do it, cut out junk food, bread even, eat wholemeal foods and do exercise
anyother way is just not normal!.

your not losing any fat weight, just water weight and carb weight (from your liver)!. Once you start eating anything again, it'll save it and youll gain back ALL the weight you previously "lost"!. No one can stay on this diet foever!.!.!.unless you end up dying from it eventually!.!.!.!.anyways, this "diet" plan will lead you no where!. You cant eat, you cant keep it up, and once you give in, youll gain it all back!. I just had a close friend of mine die two years ago from doing this!. I would suggest, a better way to control your appetite so that it helps you control your weight!. This is natural as well!. your body will go into starvation mode and conserve fat but eat away at muscle and organs!. do not take in less than 1200cal for basic metabolic functionsWww@Answer-Health@Com

You say you know of all the side affects, but if you did, why would you continue!?
I'm not going to give you tips, that's never going to happen!. All I will say is that you are making a huge mistake!.
What you're doing is called anorexia!. It's called a disease for a reason!. It's contaminates your minds, clouds your judgment!.
This "weight" you're losing, it's water!. Water and a tiny bit of muscle, although chances are you're not at that stage yet!.
You will continue to lose only water and muscle until you have neither of the two left!. But by that time you'll be on the floor probably having a heart attack!. Sure, sounds an excellent plan!
Of course, once you're muscle has gone you will have no shape, no figure, nothing!. So you'll work harder!. Shame really!.
By the time you realize you've got yourself into something bad you will have no where to turn!. Nothing will let you escape these feelings!. Nothing!. You can't escape it!.
Trust me, I've been there!. Guess what, I ended up in hospital!. I had bulimia and anorexia!. Boy, that was fun!.
I really hope you can sense how patronizing I'm being!. It's what you need to hear!.

I know how none of this will go in!. I know how you will think I'm talking a load of rubbish!. I've been there!.

Just eat!. Eat fruit, vegetables, and most of all exercise!.
