Elliptical machine ?!

Elliptical machine ?

ok so i just bought an elliptical machine a few days ago.. and i can only last on it for about 5 minutes. what is the problem ?? what do i need to do ? im supposed to use it 40 minutes and i can only last five ?! its not that im out of breath, my legs ache. what do i do to increase my time ?

May I share with you my thoughts =)

40 minutes is a ridiculous starting point.
So take it easy =)
You are exercising different muscles than you are used to using.
Consider that working out on an elliptical is a bit like climbing stairs.
You get more tired climbing stairs than walking on flat ground or a treadmill yes?
Yeah.
Me too.
Start with what you can do comfortably
(five minutes is peachy)
Add more time as you get stronger
You'll be surprised and delighted at how quickly your time will increase, especially if you are consistant =)
and also at how quickly your inner HOTNESS starts to show on the outside.

OH OH OH!
You probably already know this, but always remember to stretch out before and after your workout... as well as drink lots of water water water!
These things will help sooo much in preventing (well, at least minimizing =) muscle soreness.
