Is there a natural energy boost?!

Question: Is there a natural energy boost!?
I've been feeling completely run down lately, and I was just wondering if there were any foods out there that are specifically good for boosting energy!. Not coffee, I rarely drink it anymore, and don't tell me Mountain Dew or anything like thatt, please, I'd prefer to stay away from caffeine, and also sodas and junk!. Is it protein that I'm looking for, or some other vitamin!? What kinds of foods will help that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
For lots of energy, get a minimum of 7-8 hrs of sleep!. Sleep has been proven lately to be what most Americans lack, and too little sleep may cause the raise in obesity too, as hormones are produced during sleep that consume extra calories during the day!.

Eating a diet high in natural sugars such as fruit will add both water and good sugar to give you the burst of energy needed in sports!. Water is very useful in removing toxins, and allowing proper digestion and energy production!.

Avoid extra carbohydrates as these make you tired, as does some other foods!. Food is converted into sugar for energy, and turning carbs into sugars for combustion will "weaken" or tire your body out more!.
This is why many people get sleepy after a big meal!.

You are right, caffeine, along with nicotine are not good for the body, and weakens the immune system, and causes drain in brain power!. Stimulates often reduce energy, there is a "fall" after their use!.

Vitamin B, different types, are most basic in increasing your energy!.

I would suggest a good multivitamin (from a natural foods store because they're the best quality and the most bioavailable) such as Platinum Naturals or Natural Factors, and also a good B vitamin complex!.
I find that eating lots of green leafy veggies gives me energy!. Try to eat one large green salad every day!. Spinach, romaine lettuce and mixed baby greens are sooo good!
It's possible that you're feeling run down because of having low iron levels too!. You can have a blood test that is normal but still be low in iron because the level isn't low enough to qualify as anemia but you will feel it in your body!. Eat lots of iron rich foods like blackstrap molasses, spinach and grapes!.
If you're just generally tired from overwork or whatever, try to get enough sleep (I know, it's not as easy as it sounds sometimes lol)!.
Some things that are natural energy boosters are green tea, bee pollen, fish oils, greens powder supplements, and of course a healty diet full of fresh fruits and veggies!. I also find that I feel tired when I don't have enough protein in my diet!. Try making a smoothie with frozen berries, banana, soy milk or milk and protein powder of your choice ( I stick to soy and hemp since I'm allergic to whey)!. So yummy!
good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Vitamin B's! Take a daily multivitamin and then extra vitamin B pills!. You can also get energy drinks or juices that are high in the B's!. The "5 hour energy" bottles contain a ton and you won't crash!. I only drink half of one though too much niacin will cause you to get a niacin flush (feeling hot from the bloodflow) and too much vitamin c will give you a stomach ache!. Also, there are some really good juices out there right now that are loaded with vitamins!. I like the Fuze drinks, Naked juice is a good one too!. Drink those with your vitamin B supplement and you'll feel great!. Healthy and energized!. Yoga helps too!.!.!.:) Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends!. Any fruit can give you an instant energy boost from the sugar and it won't harm you as much as eating a chocolate bar!.

If you are feeling run down, you may look into your eating habits earlier in the day, how much rest you are getting the night before and look into your excersize routine!. You may not be geeting enough rest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
