How much weight should I start bench pressing?!
Question: How much weight should I start bench pressing!?
I'm 14 years old, 5' 10'', weigh 125 pounds, and I'm not too muscular!. I'm starting to weight train and I'm wondering how much weight I should start out with!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start with the empty bar (45 lbs in most gyms) until you get perfect form down!. I'm guessing that bar is probably gonna feel heavy to you at first!. Add a ten lb plate to each side every couple of workouts until you can only perform 8 repetitions with maximum effort!. After that add the 2!.5's every other workout!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay when i first started i was 14 yrs old and 6'1 weigh 227 pounds and i bench 100!.!.!.!. So probably u should go try a 45 pound bar and 5s on either side!!!!! then add 5 after every set till u can only do 1 rep of that weight and that would be the set amount u can bench (aka called ur max)!.!.!.!.!. well u need to do a weight that is challenging!.!. something that u can do in a set of 10 reps!.!.
then another set 6 - 8 reps
another set 4 - 6 reps
u have to add enough resistance to get results!.!.!.

start off with the bar and gradually go up and see what you can do,but if your gonna try to go for a max make you you get someone to spot youWww@Answer-Health@Com
