Eating habits....are they okay?!


Question: Eating habits!.!.!.!.are they okay!?
Well!.!.!.!.i'm 15 and in high school!.
I rarely eat breakfast, maybe just having a drink of juice and thats it!.
I don't eat at school, not because im afraid of everyone judging me, just because i forget, run out of time, or i'm just not hungry!.
I eat a properly at dinner with meat and vegies and everything!.
And sometimes maybe have afternoon tea!.

Its not because im annorexic or anything!.
I'm like 70kgs so im not like all bone or anything!.
But my eating habits have nothing to do with my weight!.

My friend always tells me its not good and i should eat more!.!.!.but if im simply not hungry why bother!?

I'm not a certified nutritionist; however, I will say that it's much better for you to spread out your eating evenly throughout the day!. If anything, you should eat more earlier in the day than you do at night because your body has more time to properly metabolize and digest it!. And then, I've also read that people who eat a properly-balanced breakfast weigh less than those who skip for whatever reason!. Of course, your weight isn't an issue at the current time, and it's not necessarily something you want/need to worry about right now!. However, it's always good to learn and practice healthy eating habits, especially since you won't always be young and have a fast metabolism!. I know what you mean though about not eating when you're not hungry!. I hate it when people around me tell me to eat more/finish my plate when I'm full or not hungry! So I'm definitely not advocating stuffing yourself, but maybe be more in tune with your body!. You might be hungry and be so busy/rushed that you don't even notice it!. Are you overly tired at the end of the day!? Do you get headaches!? Even a small, nutritious snack as you're walking out the door in the morning can help you concentrate and get through the rest of the day!. Again, I'm no professional--just some thoughts for you to consider!. Whateve makes you both healthy and happy is the way to go!. Yes, your eating habits need to be changed!. Doesn't matter if you are hungry or not, your body needs nutrition to function properly!. (Even though you may think you are functioning properly, you aren't!.) ;D

So, I would suggest eating breakfast, and while at lunch eat something smaller if you aren't hungry and/or run out of time!. Anything to get more energized!. (Apple, fruit, etc!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that maybe you should eat breakfast because its true that it is the most important meal of your day, so you can concentrate at school! And if you not hungry at school maybe you can just pack some fruit to provide energy and its also healthy!. Other than that you are in the perfect weight catergory and you seem pretty healthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need a good breakfast lunch and dinner
with breakfast, start by eating a little bit more everyday and hopefully your body will start to get used to it, but be patient!.

Yes there is defiantly room for improvement!.
Your friends are right!.
It doesn't matter whether or not you feel hungry, you should still be eating!. Your day should consist of Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner and then occasionally a snack/dessert after dinner!.
When you don't eat for a long period of time and then eat, your metabolism gets confused!. Your body stores the first thing you eat as fat because its unsure how long it will be until its next meal!.
If you do however eat each meal and snack at roughly the same time, your body is aware it will be fed and its much easier for your body to burn off the food!.
That's not to say though that you should eat lots of bad foods!. If you choose the right foods you should have no problem!.
The best thing is to just train yourself to eat even when you aren't hungry!. Start small!. Start by eating maybe a banana for breakfast and move onto some cereal or two slices of toast!. After awhile you will wake up hungry because your body will expect the food!. At the moment, your body realises in the morning it wont be fed and is used to it so you aren't hungry!.
I'm not at all an expert but I have been reading books on this lately and if you wish to be more healthy or such, you should look into it a bit more!. There are many sites and books that have more information and give the real facts!.
