Make my grocery list. I need a lifestyle change. My limit is $150.00?!

Question:

Make my grocery list. I need a lifestyle change. My limit is $150.00?

Okay, it's just my 2 year old daughter and myself. I really need to make a lifestyle change in the foods that I buy. My limit is $150.00. Basically, make a list of healthy foods that can make lots of things. (I'm a GREAT cook) If you would like to write some simple recipes, feel free to do so. I will use the best grocery list for my shopping tomorrow.

Thanks a lot!

Answers:

Here is my general shopping list:
Meat: ground turkey, chicken breast, tilapia, canned tuna or salmon, occasional tofu
Grains: Oatmeal, whole grain bread, whole grain pasta, Kashi cereal
Dairy; egss, low-fat yogurt and cheese, soymilk (1% cow's milk if fine as well)
Produce: Salad greens, spinach, tomatoes, onions, peppers, asparagus, broccolli..pretty much anything that suits your taste. It's hard to go wrong with veggies. same can be said about fruit.
Beans , nuts and peanut butter.

I don't have any children so I can't help you out in that area. But my shopping bill for myself and my husband comes out to around $70-$80 a week.

Here is a healthy shopping tip I've learned. When going to the market, stick to the outer aisles. You'll find most of what you need there. They overly processed junk is usually in the inner aisle. Proceed there with caution.

Other tip: read labels. avoid things with partially hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup and refined grains.
