Best way to give me lots of energy for tomorrow?!

Question:

Best way to give me lots of energy for tomorrow?

I have a sports day tomorrow, and it will be on almost all day. However, today I felt a bit tired, and felt like I needed more energy. As the sports day is tomorrow, I cannot go out and buy products now, I would just like to know what kind of diet I should eat to make feel as good as possible for tomorrow. I have a fair amount of products at home, so if there is anything you think will be of use, tell me.

Which drinks (OJ, Tea, Coffee etc.) or which foods are best for me? I will try to get enough sleep, but is there any other things like that to help me?

Stupid question I know, but a very serious and 'urgent help-needed' question!

Answers:

You can boost your energy easily, without having to go buy any fancy sports drinks or expensive supplements of any kind. Here are some items easily found in any home that can easily help boost your sports performance.

1. Honey

Just 3 tablespoons of honey before your workout or exercise can be as effective as one liter of sports drink! Good and cheap source of energy.

2. Caffeine + Sugar

Keep a bottle of Coke (that's no longer fizzy...shake the fizz out of it if you must) or strong coffee with sugar (make it sweet, you need the extra energy), and drink it when you're tired near the end of the day or near the end of your particular sports event. I wouldn't try this in the morning though. The caffeine and sugar give you a real boost, but you'll come crashing down when the effects wear out.

3. Water

What, were you expecting something more complicated? Keep yourself hydrated and drink before you feel thirsty. If you start losing 3% of your body's fluids or more, you won't be able to perform at your peak.

4. Peppermint

Even chewing gum will do! In this particular case, it's the smell that helps you out. Smelling peppermint can make your exercise or workout seem easier, and you'll be able to finish up with less effort.

That's it. Cheap, simple, and easy. No need to go out and waste your money on energy drinks. Good luck at your sports day tomorrow!
