Question: Lose Weight Or Lose Fat!?
I'm just wondering, how come so many people will do anything to lose weight, no matter where the weight loss comes from!? Some people don't even care if the weight loss is from muscle mass!.

Just because BMI claims you are healthy or unhealthy by your weight and height, that doesn't mean it's accurate!. Bodybuilders can be well over 300 pounds and they are healthy, bodyfat levels are low, and weight is primarily from muscle mass!.

So how come everyone is after losing weight, not fat!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

I want to lose fat!. The only problem is that a lot of us don't know how or can't afford it!. When I mean can't afford it, I am referring to hiring personal trainers,nutritionists and etc!. etc!. Even if I were able to afford one I would still be a little uneducated on how to tell if the personal trainer and nutritionist is legit and that they know what their talking about!. For example a few years back I was a member of a name brand gym and I saw some people training with a personal trainer!. The only problem is the personal trainer was fatter than the trainee!. I mean really fat like unhealthy fat!. The trainee was a coworker of mine and he said he needed to lose weight!. I was a little embarrassed to ask him what he thinks about his personal trainer!. That is why it's great to have yahoo answers!. I know you can't believe everything on yahoo answers because you may really never know who you are getting the info from and if it is accurate or not!. But for some of us it's either yahoo answers or go and buy a book on a diet!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is a misconception that weight is fat, due to doctors & TV commercials saying that you need to lose weight!. However, they do not go into detail as to what it is that you need to lose!. People think they can starve themselves and not lose muscle mass!. But when you do that, the body goes into defense mode and saves fat cells to survive!. If you want to lose body fat and not muscle mass, you have to:
1)!. Eat right
2)!. Exercise for about 15 minutes a day
3)!. Take a dietary supplement called Chromium Piccolinate (OTC)
4)!. Get at least 7 - 8 hours of sleep a night

I could not agree with you more!. When most people go on a diet, they put their body in starvation mode!. In doing so, they will not only lose fat but muscle and bone too!. They can also reap some of these common side effects:

* Weight gain!.
* Depression!.
* Food cravings!.
* Feeling tired and listless!.
* Constant hunger!.
* Reduced interest in sex!.
* Chronic fatigue!.
* Hypothyroidism!.
* Hormone imbalance!.2100
* Scaly skin or eczema!.
* Premature wrinkling of the skin!.
* Dandruff or dull, lifeless hair!.
* Mood swings!.
* Chronic yeast infections!.
* Poor immune system- frequent colds or respiratory illnesses!.
* Digestive problems!.

The weight loss industry is not concerned about health!. They are only concerned about their pocket books!. There is tons of pressure put on young girls to have a models body!. It is good to see models like Tyra Banks who speak out against this unhealthy image!. Eating disorders are killing people!. We need to get back to teaching our children to live a healthy lifestyle!.

Because not many people know the difference!. They get so happy when they loose 3 pounds in a week, but no one notices, because all they're doing is loosing muscle here & there!.

I think people should target the weight loss on the areas they have fat on, belly, thighs, arms, etc!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

lol i like your question!. it's because people don't know as much as you do!. when i hear people say i want to lose weight so i'm not gonna eat, it pains me!
