Tips for staying motivated?!

Question: Tips for staying motivated!?
Im recently divorced and trying to get back into shape!. I have started doing the P90X workouts (again) which I know will do the trick, but the problem I have is staying motivated to keep working out/eating right daily!. The P90X workout has you working out 6 days a week, but I have a hard time fitting that into my schedule, plus I have my son a couple days during the week which also interferes!. It seems like soon as life gets too busy and I have to drop my workouts (even for a few days) I have a really hard time getting the ball rolling again!.

Does anyone have any tips to keep myself motivated to keep coming back to my workouts without binge eating during the few days I have to take a break!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, Bob, that's the $64,000 question, isn't it!? Most people think you have to be motivated to start (dieting or exercising), but I think you need to power through the first two weeks and then you'll feel strong, powerful, and in control, and the motivation will come!

I also find keeping a food and/or exercise log to be extremely motivating!. Once you start writing down your workouts, some sort of self-competition kicks in and you try to do more or you try not to break your streak, whatever!.!.!.You can print free logs here:

It also helps me, when I'm looking for inspiration to read health-related books or magazines, or peruse health-related websites!. Most of the information is "old" but sometimes reading about it with a different spin helps!. This particular page is one of my favorites and helps me stay motivated:

I hope this helps! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Locate your optimal BMI weight for your stature on a BMI chart!. Set a goal for yourself to reach that weight!. Step on the scale every morning to see where you are!. Whenever you move a bit too high, it is a big motivator to get back to it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
