Contrary to what adults may tell you, this is actually really normal!.
As a teenager, the chemicals your body releases to tell itself that it's time to sleep are generally released a lot later than they are in adults!. While this tends to happen at around 9pm for adults, it generally doesn't happen before 11pm for teenagers!. As a result, many young people find it very difficult to fall asleep before 11, and often it is even later!.
While 4am may be on the extreme side of things, it is not completely abnormal, and sleeping through to midday is good considering how late you fall asleep!. Young people need between 9 and 10 hours sleep a night, although often they push themselves to get up early, reducing the amount of sleep they get, which can lead to general exhaustion and chronic fatigue illnesses!.
If this sleeping pattern fits in with your lifestyle and you are happy with it, then don't worry too much!. Your body will sort itself out as you get older!. It's when you can't sleep at ALL that you need to start worrying!. If you want to sleep earlier then I suggest avoiding computer use and overstimulating activities such as watching TV or studying too late as these prevent the release of the chemical melatonin, which helps you to fall asleep!. Instead perhaps find a good book and just read until you can fall asleep!. Also avoid caffeine after 4pm or so, and drink plenty of water!. A well balanced diet is key when it comes to sleeping patterns!. One final option is having tea before you go to sleep - if you have a routine before you go to bed, then it is easier to fall asleep earlier consistently!.
You won't be able to change your sleeping pattern straight away, but keep at it and eventually you will notice some changes!. If not there are plenty of jobs with night shifts (and they tend to pay quite handsomely, too)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

as my college professor says:
"you get enough sleep when you're dead;party while you still can!"
Honestly as long as you don't crash go have a double shot espresso at dunkin donuts and if you start to feel sleepy during class take a 5 hour energy shot!.
As a college student i only get 4 hrs!. of sleep, and with the S#!tload of homework i get, trust me that's all i need!. :) enjoy life you never know what might happen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're still getting your 8 hours of sleep so you should be fine!. My only concern is your education!.!.!.you should be in school during the day, no!? Unless you're home-schooled, then there's no issue!.
I happen to sleep between the hours of 6am and 2pm (I work from 4pm to 1am) and there's nothing wrong with me, for what it's worth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
