How many pounds is good for beginner weight lifting?!
Question: How many pounds is good for beginner weight lifting!?
I want to add a little weight lifting to my exercise routine and some resistance training to tone and lose more fat!. I walk 30 min 4 times a week!. I dont have time to really go to a gym bc I work and go to school!. I am 5'5 160!.
So how many pounds do I need, or should I get!? Per dumbbell!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

well if your a guy, you should have stated, i would go with 20lbs ea!. Preferably rise in intervals of 5lbs!. The time you walk shouldn't make a really big difference unless your doing squats, or other exercises of that sort, but for arm curls, i dont think so!. Preferably u curl one arm at a time, while still holding the other dumbbell in your other hand!. You're less likely to bend ur back!.
Ahh srry about that, idk how much you should start with if your a girl!. I had a female friend who couldnt even bench press the 45lb bar while i was doing 135lbs lol!. I had been working out before and was in better shape but still!. I'd say just go to the store and try some out!. Maybe 15lbs!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
