Doesn't really matter, do them while you can, take Glucosamine for joint health and be fit because first of all, I doubt anyone can do enough push-ups to hurt their joints, second, if its done on the right surface with the right form it should actually strengthen joints and third, one day you're joints will ache anyway for no reason at all and you won't be able to do push-ups!.
