Question: Walking 6 miles, mostly up the hill!.!. in the snow!.!?
Were were snowed in today!. So I walked to the store!. I walked about 5 miles, and hitched a ride partly back!. Lot of it was up hill!. And the snow was DEEP!.
Usually I run 5 miles a day and do 70 mins of an arc trainer!. I couldn't get to the gym to do that today because of being snowed in!. Do you think my walking would make up for that!? I am all stressed out about not working out!.

I think you did good!. 5 miles of walking is the same calories burned as 5 miles of running!. I would think it would be better exercise in the snow since the snow adds resistance!. It would be like running 5 miles in heavy boots with weights on your feet!. Tough!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
