I see you have asked alot of questions about Protein Shakes , let me give you the complete 411

Basically , there are 2 main types of Protein!.

Whey - Insant protein
Casein(sp !? ) - slow absorbing protein!.

On days where you lift weights , i would have a Whey protein 20 minutes before my workout , and with in 20 minutes after my workout , then a casein shake right before i go to sleep!.

On non work out days, i would use Casein when i first wake up and right before i go to sleep!.

As for the taste, i dont really mind it, i go with the brand "Gold Standard" its cheap, low calories and taste decent!. if your having trouble with the taste still, i use milk in it, cause it coats it quiet well!.

If you can only afford 1 type of protein, go with Whey protein because you can sub the Casein with a big glass of milk!. (The Casein is still better tho )
