Question: When muscles are sore the next day after weight lifting, is it because of micro tears or lactic acid buildup?
Delayed onset muscle soreness with moderately heavy weights. Sore for a few days.

Answers:

Lactic acid seems more reasonable.

If you were constantly tearing muscles how would they ever start to build up?



tears. rest for as couple of days. hot baths help. don,t work so hard. a torn muscle will derail all of your activities.
