I have lost nearly fifty pounds in a year.
The first thing I did is I started replacing soda with water, there's no point of going out on a walk and then coming back and drinking a soda, it's counter-productive.
That brings me to my next point, just get out there. Go for walks, and when you're ready start jogging, and when you're ready... start running.
I went from running from one tree to the next, to running a 5k, a 10k and recently I ran a half-marathon.
This wasn't without hard work on my part I began watching what I ate and training at a gym near me.
I used a few sources to help get advice when needed, threefatchicks . com is the most supportive weight-loss site I have came across. Along with the inspirational blogs, and articles at spark people . com.
