Hungry after doing exercise?!

Question: Hungry after doing exercise?
After doing exercise, you might feel hungry. This is because you need to replaced the carbohydrates, nutrients and protein to repair and build muscles. But how does this relate to your respiration rate or breathing rate?

Answers:

Your breathing rate was higher while exercising. That means that your metabolism was higher, and you were metabolizing carbs and proteins and fats faster. After you stopped, your metabolism goes back down a bit, but if the exercise was intense then it takes a few hours to return to normal.

somewhat indirectly it does. What respiration does is it breaks down ATP which is the type of usable sugar your body can use, respiration provides the oxygen for the reaction to take place in which ATP a triple bonded molecule is broken down into ADP a double bonded molecule. For instance if you were to not eat, and excercise to the point of exhaustion you might pass out because you do not have enough food to break down the bonds, but both oxygen and food are needed for it to take place. So the harder you work out the more energy you need, the more energy you need the more ATP you break down, the more ATP you break down the more oxygen needed for the reactions to take place, and thus you have a higher respiration rate.
Hope this helped!
