i am 6 ft 2 and weigh 90 kg i am 15 years old. i work out twice a week ( do weights) and i go for jog every day in the morning BUT my BMI says i am over weight. if i am overweight what can i do ?

Answers:

you are as fat as a house, 10 points please.

Your 6 ft 2 and 90kg, BMI doesnt concider Muscle weight and muscle is 3 times heavier than fat, if ur working out and keeping fit and building muscle then i would say that 90kg probably wouldn't be to bad for 6 ft 2, you just need to really have a look at ur body fat and muscle not ur weight.

holly **** your not fat your weigh to skinny is what you are you need to least be 120 to 130 but geez eat something and drink stuff it sounds like your working out way to much and not eating eat some junk food i don't only because im trying to become a bodybuilder so eat something

Well OBVIOUSLY you lift weights...and muscle weighs a lot more than fat does, and your bone structure could be bigger than average. So no I wouldn't say you're fat or anything. Bmi's are the most stupid thing in the world because they don't know how you're shaped. Do a body fat percent test instead.

Best wishes/Miranda

It depends on your height, and metabolism. I'm 12 stone (76kg i think) but im 6ft 2" and im really skinny, however i eat crap everyday and hardly exercise.

the best way to tell is to simply look at yourself, maybe compare yourself with an average sized person.

Your a very tall person, which means your BMI would be higher cause you have to put more weight on for your body to even out. and If your muscular it means your bigger then the norm. Just eat healthy and continue to work out and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Sometimes your bmi. Will say you are overweight if you have muscles since they make your weight seem higher but its not fat you have so don't worry about it keep doing what you do. Try a protein drink instead of a meal sometimes

You should try doing less weights and more running. You only burn fat 20 minutes into a workout, so try weights for 20-30minutes and do more intensive cardio exercises.

your not fat you're "big boned", just add more greens to your diet and cut out the refined and processed stuff (but slowly, like over the course of a month)

In my opinion, your weight is perfect and your workout sounds very healthy to me. Keep it up and don't try to lose weight : )

Whats your BMI?
I don't hink your over weight no. If you do weights though this will add on a bit of muscle weight.

your just right for your height.
