Got to get back in shape for wedding?!

Question: Got to get back in shape for wedding?
So i have a wedding in april and want to look more lean. I weigh 200 lbs and want to lose 30 or 40 lbs (depending on how i look when i lose 30lbs) but is it possible to lose 30lbs in a month? If so how can it be achieved? Thanks in advance

Answers:

I would say you could lose 30 pounds in a month, but that depends on a lot of factors: like your body type and metabolism, your effort, what you eat, how much you exercise...that kind of stuff. But, generally speaking, if you totally change your eating habits (lean proteins, veggies and fruits, whole grains and wholesome snacks) and keep the calories to a MINIMUM (nothing under this) of 1400 and the fat around 60 (sat fat: 20g) and carbs in check, then you can probably squeeze that in...maybe. It takes a lot of work to lose weight that quick, so you have to exercise AT LEAST 5 times a week, for about an hour each day, integrating cardio, abdominals, legs, arms, back, and shoulders. I would recommend that one day you go for a thirty minute jog (in spurts; this helps you burn more calories (such as 2 minutes light running, then a minute of sprinting)) followed by an abdominal routine and some stretches. Then another day do lunges, squats, and other leg exercise, combined with some cardio. Then some weight lifting the next day for your arms for the whole hour, integrating some clean and press shoulder lifts (you can look up shoulder exercises online). On the fourth day, get some more cardio in by doing a fitness DVD that really revs up your heartbeat and keeps it going (no rest!), and on the fifth day, maybe do some intense yoga (it will help to loosen those stretched muscles throughout the week and make you more flexible). Also, you can create everyday chores or errands into exercise...by adding leg lifts, running in place, something to keep you motivated.

And remember, always keep an open mind about exercises; the number one reason for giving up is out of boredom, so switch it up every so often into something fun and exciting (maybe dancing classes!). And, you can DO THIS!!! =D

You should try-Gillian Michael 30 Day shred dvd. She claims that you can lose 20 pounds in 30 days. You probably won't lose that much (I didn't) but I'm so much more toned and know after doing for about 5 weeks (although I'm still only on level 2 of 3) I've lost almost a stone. It is really hard work initially but I really think its worth a shot for you as it only takes 20-30 mins a day! If not you should try some resistance and strength training to build muscle (which makes you burn fat quicker) and try and do a fair amount of cardio.
Also keep to your daily recommended calories or perhaps a little less I aim for about 1500 so that I lose weight quicker. I wouldn't go for much less than that though because it is bad for your body. Also don't try to keep to diets of food that you don't enjoy. You won't be able to sustain it and end up giving up try and find healthy meals that you enjoy that you can have on a daily basis. For example on an average day things like this: wholemeal toast and peanut butter for breakfast, jacket potato and beans for lunch and homemade honey-glazed chicken with pasta and veg for dinner (yes I could never give up carbs!) with healthy snacks in between. They probably aren't the best foods for losing weight but I enjoyed them and I wasn't eating too much!
Just keep at it and you'll be fine! I found that once I started to lose weight it was so much easier to keep it going because you just don't want it end!
Good luck-stick to peoples advice and you will look great for the wedding!

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

you can eat how much you like if you stay within these 3 guidelines and still lose fat naturally and gradually. You should lose 10lbs each month on average.

1.eat only steamed lean meats, eggs, healthy fruits ,vegetables, nuts, grains, & yogurt..2. drink only water, juice, & milk..3. walk or do some physical exercise 1-3 hour every day.

(btw, recommend you also to buy an electronic food steamer ((Very cheap)) and a rice cooker as makes it very easy to prepare healthy meals ,,add a bit of olive oil and pepper, spices on top of steamed vegeatables, fish or chicken to add more taste if wish as these are healthy too.)

Since you're already heavy, it should be easier to lose the weight faster.

The best things you can do are eat right, and exercise. Don't drink soda or eat chips! Seriously, I'm already thin and when I stopped drinking soda and eating chips, I lost a total of 10lbs really quickly. Drink more water. Try not to eat past 6pm - 7pm, that's when your metabolism slows, and if it slows, you'll gain weight. Go on morning walks, and evening walks. If you have a gym available, use it and go on the treadmill and lift a few weights. Doesn't have to be a whole lot. Eventually (or even now if you want) try running around your block a few times. I've also heard that eating a nice breakfast can help you lose weight. I don't usually eat breakfast because it makes me feel sick, but when I eat a couple hours after I've been up (about 10 or 11am) I have found I eat better the rest of the day and am full longer.

If you do get hungry, eat snack bars!

Hope I helped :D

Forget about snack bars they're unhealthy the most I lost was 20 lbs in a month, doing 30 min treadmill, 30 min elliptical 30 min stair master and eating healthy, no fried foods, fast foods, sodas, candy, no unhealthy food at all for a month and it will work....

I think you can't do that. If so, our straining ourself more. But I suggest you will be supervised weight loss programs to really help you out.
