Yes - one study showed that it worked twice as well as not eating at all for fat loss. The fasters lost as much weight but it was mostly lean tissues.

One study had low carbers eating more calories & they lost much more weight than the low fat dieters.

Atkins works better than weight loss drug Alli with no anal leakage.

Studies have shown that some people can gain fat stores even on a semi starvation diet of 1000 calories a day - if it's composition is high carb, low fat. So obviously, calories aren't the key to fat loss.

Most overweight & obese people have blood sugar & insulin dysfunctions and can NEVER eat carbs like someone with a functioning body can. They make the mistake of going back to the way of eating that made them fat and that is not possible and yes they will gain all weight back if they eat what they ate that made them obese originally. Insanity is defined as doing the exact same thing, in the exact same way and expecting different results. Many people can return to moderate carb levels but very few can really eat all they want of sugar & maintain weight or health.

if you mean does it cause you to lose weight..yes. for awhile at least..but will gain it back and it is very unhealthy for your body.
