I assume you're asking if they help to lose more weight? Yes they help but do note that the weight you lose, most of it will be water weight. I used to wrestle in high school and am no stranger to excess weight cutting. I don't recommend it b/c it will cause dehydration and could also affect your kidneys in the long run. Sure you could easily lose 5 lbs in one sitting but you'll gain it all back once you replenish.
