Bench 100 pounds with 20 reps?!

Question: Bench 100 pounds with 20 reps?
If I can do 20 reps with 100, how much weight do you think I could handle.

My bar only weighs 5 pounds, so I need a much heavier one. Either that, or buy more weights.

I'm 18 and I weigh 164.

You could probably do your body weight (with a spotter). Slowly increase the weight in five or ten pound increments to test your strength. When you start to struggle on the 8th or 9th repetition, you should probably have a spotter for safety reasons.

Benching higher reps with lower weights and max benching may activate different muscle fibers, so there is really no direct comparison.

about 110-15 tops
