Help me lose weight? Please! Urgent help!?!
Question: Help me lose weight? Please! Urgent help!?
Take my dog on a walk for 45 minutes (he likes to walk faster so it will be at a fast pace)
Practice shooting hoops for basketball for 1 hour a day
Play Dance Central on the Kinect for 1 hour a day
Swim on days its nice out for AT LEAST an hour
Heres my routine for weekends
Swim everyday for at least an hour
Practice basketball for 1 hour
Play Dance Central for Kinect for 1 hour
And for the food, heres my plan
Breakfast: Some type of fruit
Lunch: Salad with very little western dressing (I know the dressing is fattening but I need dressing! haha), cheese, tomatoes, and chicken.
Dinner: What ever my mom makes, but if its not healthy, or if its deep fried or something, I'll have a salad
Is this routine good? I'm 13 years old, 5'5, and 148lbs. I want to be in the 120 range, or just be skinny again, because I know I might gain muscle from doing this and I know muscle weighs more than fat. So if I just lose my love handles, stomach, and thigh fat, then the number on the scale wont matter to me! If there is anything I should change in my excersise routine, or diet plan, please feel free to tell me what I should change! Thanks!

Are you always so organized? Wow. The only thing I would suggest is to add something more to your breakfast. A piece of whole wheat toast and a boiled egg would set you up for the day. It's best to eat the bulk of your calories earlier in the day. Make sure you take a daily vitamine and drink lots of water. If you're going to skip, it should be at dinner. Good Luck, I admire you.
Personally, I'm going to say no for two reasons - (1) at 13 you are at a crucial stage in your development and you need to have a more balanced diet so your body has the nutrients you need -and- (2) Exercising for 3 to 4 hours a day, every day, is a little excessive. I would limit it to two hours at the most.
Sounds like you have a good handle on it. I can only manage 1 lb per week. I'm told this is a realistic target. I would also suggest strength training for core muscle groups. This will keep your metabolism higher and you will burn more calories, even when you are idle.
