Some foods that help are those high in fibre and natural sugars such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains and healthy fats such as nuts.
Eating foods your body burns up best will boost your metabolism significantly. There are basically three type of people; protein types, carb types and mixed type.
I, for example, am a protein type, by eating excess carbs, especially refined sugars and other processed carbs, I gained weight like crazy. Minus the carbs, add exercise, and I'm 18lbs light lighter in 6 weeks.
