yes using the gym stepper will improve your stamina. it is more of a strength thing thought wheras running is more of something that makes you feel like your going to die from lack of oxygen.
a good thing to do is just run as fast as you can for as long as you can, then walk till you get your breath back, then run as fast as you can for as long as you can and so on until your absolouly shattered. that should improve your running
