can you 'actually' gain 6 pounds in a day?!
Question: Can you 'actually' gain 6 pounds in a day?
so, is it ACTUALLY possible that I gained 6 pounds in a day? or do you think its water retention?
Answers:
Its probably water retention which might be greater if you were up most of the night, or your salt intake was greater than usual.
Working on losing weight and measuring weight loss with scales does nothing. If you're going about the healthy way, then you'll probably gain "weight" before you "lose" it, you might not even lose it. This is because MUSCLE weights MORE than FAT.
Also, your weight can fluctuate up to around 3lbs every day. The professionals say a way to avoid this is to weigh yourself at the same time each day but even that isn't 100% accurate.
Not to mention, your scales could be broken.
You can't. It's water retention, foods left over in the bowel, glycogen in the liver, clothes/shoes you wore and/or the scales being unreliable. So don't worry :)
Weighing once weekly is better, everyone fluctuates.
Water retention! Don't worry, take a deep breath, and relax (I understand that is a hard thing to do right now). I try not to weigh myself often for that very reason.
Good luck on your journey and breath easy!
your weight fluctuates like this all the time due to things such as water food intake, toilet visits etc.
it is a strange boilogical thing the body.
It's most likely water retention. But your weight can fluctuate 8 pounds in a day.
Most likely water weight, it can tend to fluctuate 4 pounds a day.
