Palatal Expander, gap? and Average time line?!

Palatal Expander, gap? and Average time line?

So i have been reading alot about this expander becuase i am getting one next week. I hear that alot of ppl say that it gives you a really big gap in the front of your teeth. I am really nervouse and i just want to know some more about it. So how big is the gap that it gives you? Is it in between every tooth? And also how long is the average time that you have to have the expander in your mouth all together? THANKS A TON FOR ANSWERS!!!!

Well i hve a expander....got mine 2 weeks ago. Its the kind tat u hve 2 turn a key. The gap is only between ur 2 front teeth. and no it is not between each tooth. in 3 weeks the gap is closed back in. but i think u need 2 wear it 4 bout 5 months or 4 ! i hve a gap now but the gap is closing! IN the begining ur not use 2 talkin and eating hard food hurts! I recommend eating soft foods for a week tats how long of a time it took me 2 get use 2! so i hope i helped!
