Will my pits and fissure cavity die?!
Question:
Will my pits and fissure cavity die?
There is this white cement thing that my dentist put for one of my molars because I have an overbite. I think I have a pits and fissure cavity on it. Will it die? Also I have pits and fissure cavities on my other teeths. If I take care of them, will they die? Advice on how to take care of them please.

i asked for a sealent
but she said i couldnt
because the cavities would just go down
Answers:
i'm sure that the dentist will clean it first before he put the thing for overjet, i mean he'll make sure that there's no cavity in it, unless if u have pain
pit and fissure cant die, it is just a tooth structure, the pulp (nerve inside the tooth is the one which could be dead
pit and fissure is a structure where food are stuck and if a person dont brush their teeth the left food will cause cavity and untreated cavity could cause dead tooth which is bad.
treatment :
- brush your teeth with toothpaste that contains fluoride
- ask your dentist to put SEALANT to seal the pit and fissure so there is much less risk for cavity
