Where do i start..just graduated and dont know where to go from here!?
i've been out of high school for a year and have just decied what i want to do with my life..becoming a dental hygeinist is the perfect thing for me..but i'm kinda stuck..i've tried to research some stuff on it but i dont know where to go from there. i am also confused on a lot of stuff..do i need to graduate from a university before i go to a specific dental school?? ahh..i just really could use some help!!

As a dentist I recommend researching the local colleges and technical colleges around your area or contact local dental offices in your community and ask to speak to any hygienist on staff. A dental hygienist usually attends school for 2 or 4 years and receives either an Associates or Bachelors degree, but you will not have to attend actual dental school. Only someone interested in becoming a dentist attends dental school, this is another fours years of school after your get a bachelors degree (total of 8 years from start to finish).
