Deficiency of which vitamin causes soars in mouth ??!
Question:
Deficiency of which vitamin causes soars in mouth ??
Answers:
Hi there
Mouth ulcers or apthous ulcers can be caused by a variety of factors, including stress (of any kind, including fatigue) as well as dietary deficiency.
Can I suggest vitamin B2 (riboflavin). I used this as a kid for chronic mouth ulcers and it seemed to cut down their frequency significantly. B2 helps with tissue repair.
Also, speak to a natropath. If you continue to suffer from mouth ulcers, you need to see your GP as there maybe something underlying that needs investigation.
Some people may suggest vitamin C which may help. However it's pretty unusual these days to be deficient in this vitamin. Vitamin C assists with tissue repair, such as in the mouth...it'll help the ulcers heal. You dont really need more than around 100mg of VitC per day. Don't bother buying vitamin C, buy a bag of oranges and have one a day. Plenty of fresh fruit and veges is under rated. Eat lots! By the way, you can buy vitamin B2 (riboflavin) as a stand alone supplement, or just try a B group vitamin.
Good luck
