ive allways wanted to know is it because of sinus's or omthing else
Answers:
It's due to the reduced salivary production at night which allows an increase in the bacteria production, that causes the odor or bad morning breath. Of course if you have sinus problems or are a smoker, have decay, perio disease or other dental problems, these will only add to the bad breath with an even higher increase in the bacteria level found in the mouth. Hope I've been of some help.
If you think of it this way it may help to understand. You constantly swallow through out the day, which washes the mouth and teeth. At night you don't swallow. So during the night the bacterium that is always found in the mouth (that you normally wash away with swallowing and brushing during the day) is left in the mouth allowing the bacteria to grow at an even faster rate, thus causing the nasty morning breath.
