Can broken molars be transplanted with wisdom teeth from the other side of the m!

Question:

Can broken molars be transplanted with wisdom teeth from the other side of the mouth?

Answers:

As a fellow dentist say above, transplantation is possible, but I want to add the following caution:

Extracting a wisdom tooth will traumatize it. The periodontal ligaments may be affected as well as the pulp inside the extracted tooth. Therefore the success of the transplantation is not guaranteed. One may experience post-operative complications such as inflammatory root resorption or pulp death, which is commonly seen in cases where an accidentally knocked-out tooth is promptly replanted.

A better bet would be to just put in a titanium implant if there is enough bone in the area. It is inert and will not be susceptible to inflammatory resorption, pulp necrosis or tooth decay.
