Tips of teeth look "clear"?!

This is almost certainly down to acid erosion.
Erosion is most commonly caused by fizzy drinks - it doesnt matter whether it's diet or non-diet. Fresh fruit juice, citrus and acidic fruits and wine also cause erosion. Basically, it eats away at the surface enamel on your teeth making it thinner. Since there isnt any underlying dentine near the incisal edges of your front teeth, thinning enamel becomes translucent.
As for treatment, the first thing to do is look at your diet/drinks and try to identify where the erosion is coming from. Drink fizzy drinks through a straw if necessary. There isnt any way of putting the colour back unless you opt for composite restorations on the inside surfaces of your teeth. These can be fragile and feel strange for a wee while. Otherwise you could have your front teeth veneered but this seems a little drastic to me.
Basically, cut out the acidic foods/drinks and it wont get any worse.
