Wearing a retainer at night: will this fix the spaces in between my teeth?!
Question: I had braces years ago, but I've noticed now my teeth are spacing a bit (just the tiniest bit). Can I suggest to my dentist to fit me for a retainer to wear at night in order to help with the gaps?
What do you think?

did you not get fitted for a retainer when you finished your ortho treatment??
I have Essex retainers at the moment, they are like clear shields that go over your teeth, you wear the day and night for about a year and then only at night after that. They're pretty comfy and stop your teeth from shifting
As for Bryson, I doubt he's an Orthodontist considering he can't spell this own profession correctly.
Maybe just visit your orthodontist again, or try and put your old retainers back in, just at night, if not I don't see why your ortho can't make you a new set with your teeth alignment now and prevent futher movement.
You should really only get your braces when your teeth deffintly stop shifting, and ask your orthadontist. Now since your teeth are shifting just a tiny bit, a retainer will be good. DO NOT where it at night. Obviously your mouth will become dry enough for the retainer to slip of your teeth and into the throat.
