Dental casp?!

Question:

Dental casp?

i just came back from the dentist cos i was feeling like a tooth coming out from the back of my front tooth. he started laughing and said its only a casp. i googled it ... but no info... anyone can give me some info? 10x : )

Answers:

I think he meant cusp, a dental cusp is a peak on a tooth (like a mountain top). Most front have a little dip and peak on the back of them, it's called the cingulum, and it's natural. In some teeth, the cingulum can be quite marked and seem like a cusp. That's probably what you've got. :)
