Will braces take longer if you are 17 years old?
hi, i just turned 17 and am gonna get braces for the second time- i was wondering will it take longer on average than say a 14 year old perhaps? i am really hoping to be done before university and was wondering if now its gonna take longer. (last time i had them they were on for 18 months- but now its not so severe but still bad)

Well, i got my braces right after i turned 18. Ive already had them for about 7 months and after 5 months i started noticing the changes. It might take a bit longer as we are older because are teeth are harder to move around. But it really depends on the person, my teeth are smaller so they do move faster, but you never know. Start noting the differences at around 5 months and you will have an idea of how quickly your teeth will change.
