Fainted at the dentist?!

Fainted at the dentist?

when i was little i had some tooth work done , and they gave me that shot thing, at the end i started feeling really sleepy and fainted, they had to give me oxygen to wake up, can anyone tell me why this happened? I think they gave me too much but still..

yeah probably a sedative...no i dont have dental phobia im not scared of a dentist...they gave me too much of a drug or something I didn't faint because of fear..it was gradual, i was sleepy then fainted

this is probably a sedative...dentist and the dental staff resort to such method especially in children who are incorrigible, with behavioural problems or who is just uncooperative.
